Accounts Receivable

Position

Accounts Receivable Specialist

Job Description

Freight Right is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to process full-cycle AP in a business-to-business environment. You will begin as a part-time employee with the opportunity to convert to a full-time position. 

Overview of Responsibilities

- Review open accounts for collection efforts.

- Make collection calls and emails in a professional manner while keeping and improving customer relations.

- Monitor and log responses to collections and follow up with customers as required.

- Maintain accurate and complete customer records as well as build customer relationships and resolve disputes.

- Monitor customer credit limits within the company’s policy.

- Review current accounts receivable processes and procedures and provide suggestions for improvement and automation.

- Track collection activities, reconciliation records, and accounts analysis.

- Cash application of A/R payments (ACH, Wire, Checks, Credit Cards) in the accounting system.

- Assist in Accounts Receivable monthly closing processes.

- Other duties may be assigned.

     

Requirements for the Accounts Receivable Specialist:

- AA or BS is highly desired or equivalent work experience

- More than 3 years of experience with full-cycle Account Receivable experience

- Strong attention to detail and ability to work well in a fast-paced environment

- Strong verbal and written communication skills

Export Operations Trainee

Export Operations - Entry Level (LCL/FCL and Air Freight) 

Job Description

You will handle export door to door shipments by air and ocean. The duties include providing quotes, making bookings with carriers, coordinating pick up and deliveries, customs clearance, filing AES, and handling other facets of international shipping.

Job Summary:

You will develop new business by prospecting and identifying decision makers, coordinating customer meetings and presentations, identifying customer solution needs, and developing comprehensive pricing strategies to enhance customer business.

You will work with our excellent Operations Team to establish standard operating procedures for meeting each customer’s expectations and work with our team to resolve any customer issues. You will train the customer to use various platforms including online rates, supply chain visibility, tracking, and domestic TMS. You will be the client’s representative in the company to ensure accurate billing, shipping times, pricing and other services are delivered at the highest level.

This is an outside sales position and the ability to drive to visit customers is a must. Expect to travel to domestic trade events several times a year. Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Experience Required

General knowledge of the freight forwarding, logistics, and transportation industry. 

- 5+ years experience in freight forwarding or related sales. 

- Successful experience working in an entrepreneurial business environment. 

- Strong computer and analytical skills. 

- Proficiency in sales presentations. 

- Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Financial Controller

Position

Financial Controller

As the Controller, you will be responsible for a wide range of activities including preparation of monthly financial statements, refinement of the company’s accounting and finance infrastructure, a variety of financial analyses, risk management initiatives and various special projects. The Controller will closely partner with the CFO to analyze the company’s financial results, develop financial projections and provide assistance with fundraising due diligence.

Successful candidates will be results-driven, highly analytical and detail-oriented.  They should have strong business acumen and experience in freight forwarding, logistics or supply chain environment. Responsibilities:

- Establish, implement, and monitor appropriate internal controls and policies to ensure conformance and compliance with U.S. GAAP

- Lead internal and external reporting requirements

- Further develop accounting and reporting procedures including daily reconciliations, monthly hard closes, and establishing and rolling forward accruals and reserves.

- Maintain and oversee accounting systems

- Perform other duties and projects as assigned
 

Qualifications:

- Minimum 7 years related experience (with at least 4 years in NVOCC/Freight Forwarding companies and 3 years public accounting experience)

- Thorough knowledge of CargoWise/WiseTech Global software

- Certified Public Accountant required

- Financial services (lending) experience strongly recommended

- Small company or start-up experience necessary with a proven track record of adding value to companies and executive team

- Ability to carry out assigned tasks in an efficient and timely manner

- Must be a working manager, capable of operating in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to handle pressure well, while being self-motivated and detail-oriented

Job Description

Freight Right is seeking an International Quoting Specialist – Air, Ocean, and Ground. Candidate will work with our global network of agents, re-sellers and customers to quote import and export shipments. Analyze costs and tariffs from agents, carriers, and other vendors.

Analyze competitors rates to identify inconsistencies with our own tariff. Negotiate with carriers and agents. Compile rates to increase door to door coverage in given origin/destination pairs.

Work with re-seller partners to provide tariff rates. Work on special projects like landed cost calculations for specific products, OOG and project quotes, etc.

Skills Requirements

Thorough knowledge of international transportation processes, including export and import related charges for air freight, ocean (LCL and FCL) as well as project cargo.
Knowledge of international customs and forwarding regulations
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general industry documentation/communications.
Ability to present information and respond to questions from customers and partners.
Experience Required

Prior Industry (NVOCC/Freight Forwarding)

2-5 years Sales Experience
