Freight Right MCP: Get Rates, Open Quote Requests and Track Shipments From Your AI Assistant

Freight Right MCP is now available in more of the AI tools people already use for work.

You can find the Freight Right connector in Claude’s Connectors Directory, the Cursor Marketplace and as a Grok Bot plugin. Freight Right MCP also works with ChatGPT and other assistants that support custom MCP connectors.

Once connected, sign in with your Freight Right account, no API keys required, and ask your assistant to get freight rates, open quote requests or track shipments.

New users can also create a free Freight Right Shipment Management Platform account directly from the connection screen.

Shipment Management Platform: Share Quotes With Customers, Colleagues and Partners

Quotes created in the Freight Right Shipment Management Platform can now be shared directly with people outside your Freight Right account.

Add an email address and the recipient can view, approve or book the quote without needing their own account.

You can also create a read-only public link and turn it off at any time.

Shipment Management Platform: Turn Ecommerce Orders Into Freight Quotes Faster

Ecommerce orders, including Shopify orders, now have their own Orders page inside the Freight Right Shipment Management Platform.

From an order, Get instant quote opens a quote request with the order details already filled in.

For CartRight merchants, this creates a more direct connection between a Shopify order and the quoting and booking tools inside the Freight Right Shipment Management Platform.

CartRight: Give Shopify Customers More Freight Delivery Options at Checkout

CartRight merchants now have a new E-Commerce Settings page for managing freight services offered at Shopify checkout.

Available settings include built-in cross-border customs, limited access, inside delivery and pickup appointments.

These controls are specifically for merchants using CartRight to offer freight shipping for large and bulky Shopify orders.

Freight Right API: Pull Rates, Book Freight and Read Shipment Status From Your Own Systems

Freight Right’s public API gives businesses and developers a programmatic way to connect their own systems with Freight Right.

The API can be used to pull live freight rates, open custom quote requests, book quoted rates and read shipment status.

Shipment Management Platform: Get Automatic Email Updates for Key Shipment Milestones

Customers using the Freight Right Shipment Management Platform can now receive email updates for key shipment milestones, including departure, arrival, customs clearance and delivery.

For LTL shipments, updates come directly from carrier systems.

Shipment Management Platform: Build More Complete Door-to-Door Quotes and Wider LTL Coverage

Quoting inside the Freight Right Shipment Management Platform now supports door-to-door pricing that combines live ocean or air rates with inland trucking.

We’ve also expanded live LTL pricing coverage, including additional U.S.-to-Canada and Canada-to-Canada lanes.

Shipment Management Platform: Faster, More Flexible Freight Quoting

A number of smaller improvements have also shipped across the Freight Right quoting experience.

Freight can now be rated using either total shipment weight or per-unit weight. Overlength charges can be added automatically, pickup dates skip weekends and holidays, and customers have access to the full list of available quote options.

Users can also save frequently used Locations and reuse them on future quotes.

Quote PDFs now show the customer’s company name, and messages sent from orders show who received them.
